Boat traffic

Located in the midst of a lake labyrinth, downtown Tampere is situated on a narrow strip of land between two large lakes.

By Lake Pyhäjärvi, Laukontori Quay and market place are located at the heart of summertime Tampere. From Laukontori, you can take an hourly boat to Viikinsaari, Tampere's picnic island or take off for a longer voyage.

Mustalahti Quay is situated by Lake Näsijärvi next to Särkänniemi Adventure Park.

From both quays, there is a variety of lake cruises available during the summer season.

In summer, you can travel to Tampere by boat from Hämeenlinna (south of Tampere) along the Finnish Silverline Route and from Virrat (north of Tampere) along the pictoresque Poet's Way.
