Music lovers are indulged by the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Chief Conductor Hannu Lintu in performances arranged at Tampere Hall. Finnish and foreign performances at Tampere International Theatre Festival turn the city into a stage every August. 

Numerous museums in Tampere portray themes ranging from history of industrializing Finland, the life of Lenin and the world of the spy to ice hockey and Tove Jansson's much loved Moomin characters.
