Tampere is well prepared to welcome international congresses.

Tampere Hall, the largest purpose-built congress and concert centre in Scandinavia, can easily accommodate up to 2,000 delegates. Besides Tampere Hall, there are several other good congress venues in town.

Tampere's hotels, conference venues, shops and restaurants are all within walking distance of the city centre. The rich culture as well as the beautiful lakeland area around Tampere offer versatile possibilities for all kinds of excursions.

In the evenings, Tampere offers the very best of city life: theatres, concert halls, pubs and restaurants.

Tampere Convention Bureau (TCB) is a non-commercial organisation promoting Tampere as a congress destination and offering free assistance to any national or international organiser in planning an international meeting in Tampere. TCB has built up an extensive co-operation network with all major players in meetings and tourism services in the Tampere region.

TCB's services - free of charge - include:
- Information on conference venues, hotels, transportation, PCO services and social programmes
- Planning and preparing invitation folders
- Arranging site inspection trips
- Assisting in planning, budgeting and marketing
- Supplying organisers with brochures, slides, photos, shell folders etc.
MeetingNet is a website maintained by Tampere Convention Bureau. MeetingNet provides a wide range of selected international social programmes for conferences, congresses and all kinds of corporate events held in the Tampere region. Through MeetingNet you have direct contacts with the Programme Service Providers.

MeetingNet provides inspiration and ideas for the social programme of any individual events as well as complete event packages. The directory includes details of activities such as cultural, wellness and evening programmes, wilderness hikes, adventures and safaris as well as team-building packages for groups of different sizes with durations ranging from a few hours to full days. Include in your conference programme a half day tour to the countryside of Tampere Region and explore Finnish wine making and history of glass design! The tour starts from Tampere Hall. During the programme, an English speaking guide will tell you about the history of Finnish art and design. The first stop will be at Iittala glass and design museum. Glass museum presents internationally known art designs and the most popular products of Iittala glass factory. As the tour continues to Pälkäne, you will learn about the Finnish wine making at Rönnvik's Vineyard that is situated in the beautiful countryside.
