Tampere is located in southern Finland some 170 km north of Helsinki, capital of the country.

Both domestic and international travel connections to Tampere are excellent. The city is within easy reach by air, by land and in summer, even by water.

There are several daily flights from and to Helsinki, and Tampere also has direct flight connections with Stockholm (Sweden), Riga (Latvia), Frankfurt and Bremen (Germany), London (UK) and Milan (Italy); from April 2010 onwards also with Edinburgh (UK) and from June 2010 onwards with Malaga (Spain).
